Whistler: Spring 2005
On Wednesday, the sunshine won out, and the snow became a bit soft and very sticky, making for "no fun" skiing.
So we left the hill early, and checked out the deck chairs poolside, as did several others!
(Yuko's lounging on the deckchair which has her white terry bath robe draped over it)
We chose not to ski Thursday and Friday, but instead we rented bikes on Friday
and explored the many bike trails in the valley.
There are many small lakes here, and many beaches, all of them occupied...
The bathing suits, frisbees, bikes, barbeques, dogs, and cold beverages were everwhere.
And a few had even swum out to the small rafts in the lakes.
We even found some interesting woodwork!
Peter and Jennifer stayed with us for 2 nights, and we really enjoyed the company!
On Saturday we went back up the mountain for 1 last ski day, and found that the now-soft snow
was much more predicable to ski in. Peter tested his new snow board with Yuko and me,
while Jen tested the poolside comforts. Then we all met for lunch up top, and had a great time!
