Olympics, cont'd...


On Wednesday I took another lap around the area. Before reaching the Olympic Village I experienced yet another Olympic "benefit", the increased number of "sex-trade" workers. Well I must fit the profile, and she sure was enthusiastic, but no, I don't want to "go for a coffee". From the Cambie bridge I spotted Yuko's office, the Japanese team HQ's banner on this building. They have a huge patio, with a great view of Vancouver! If you look close you can sort of see a blue shirt sitting at a computer. Not Yuko, she was out driving at this time. Apparently the floor above them (the top floor) is the Swiss team HQ.



The two buildings next to them, one with the Ozzy team's fighting kangaroo, and just above it the Dutch team's banner! Hup Holland! There are a few Canadian flags on the next building, and the entire building is for the Canadian team. And so is the smaller building hidden just behind it!



I can get reasonably close to the village by using the Science World walkway. All the nation flags are up now. The building behind the flags houses the little shopping center.



Some teams were well prepared to mark their territory!



And some teams (German, Czech, and Belarus) have a great view of the backside of the businesses on 6th Avenue, across this moat...
