Olympreparations, cont'd...


So why the Canadian Mint at the Olympics? Well, they made the Olympic medals! And these are the dies used to stamp them out. This is the "Medal section".



Here is a sample of the stamping, including the hoops needed for the ribbon.



Each gold medal has had 6 grams (IOC required) of gold electroplated onto it.



And here is the Bronze medal, which I think looks better with the copper colour.



Here's a Silver medal, it's reflecting a lot of the room colours, that's why it looks yellowish



This looks good. Really really good. (You DO know what it is, right?)
