1/10.

Ok. 5 long days later, after scraping most of the paint off using scalpel blades (24 of them), and 2 more bottles of solvent, and a lot of q-tips...

I masked off the black window lines to match the proportions of my truck, then it took 3 cans of gold paint to finally get a decent opaque coverage.

The final results. Unfortunately, the cleaning and scrubbing and scraping left marks. Oh well, all off-road vehicles have "character"!

Then all put together... The motor that came with the car was too fast for my liking, and made slow controlled movements difficult. So I put in a 1/4 speed motor instead. Much better.

This was a very easy climb, in fact if you weren't careful it would launch itself into the back of the couch from this stand-still position.

Most of the electronics are water-proof. But to keep the outdoor mess under control, I put a "mud-flap" of duct tape around the perimeter of the body. So far, so good! Now to practice driving...
Like any good off-road vehicle (including my real truck), some changes were needed: locked differentials, low speed crawling, modified wiring and plugs, and larger softer tires on special rims.

Taking a drive on the pond... The ice is thin, but it's already strong enough to drive on! (cell phone camera)
