Canada D'eh.

Day 2, it was time to... photograph flowers?

No, no, no! It was time to check out the pirates, again!

From kayaks, of course! ...racing to catch up...

Day 3, it was cycle time, and exploring the Fraser River paths in Burnaby.

With a coffee break in New Westminster, and time to check the Euro soccer scores!

A 60km round trip, travelled counter-clockwise this time. Makes the hills easier for 60 year old knees going this way...

We stopped near Olympic Village, and saw these. Rose hips! I picked a few, and they made a nice tea! So I went back the next day and picked a bunch more! 1651 gms.

About 3 cm across, and not too ripe yet, otherwise it's too mushy to handle...

Cut through the rind, and the 2 halfs show all the seeds inside, and the old remains for the flower parts, which look like a fuzzy bug.

Cleaned out the seeds, washed off, and then into the freezer! They have a suble, but lingering, pleasant flavour. Nice to chew as a frozen treat, too!
