Walking back from kayaking, we passed the new military facilities at Burrard and 1st. "Canadian" Military Police...
...a distinctly "Canadian" Military... (aside from the attempt at humour, I think it's great that the process can be this inclusive.)
There were a lot of events apparently going on in the renovated drill hall.
The very well dressed bagpipers. One guy with gold trim, all the others in silver.
They are, apparently, the Vancouver Police.
The Seaforth Armoury. Renovated, and now re-opening.
We were allowed inside the drill hall, though it was awkward moving through the crowds while carrying kayak paddles, etc.
The view was better from the upper seating area. The band was doing a jazz number, and the little kids at the right were dancing along...
