It was much easier to see the participants in the preparation area, before they entered the main parade route.

Ok, let's see, this is mostly (all?) girls. Are they happy to be on camera?
Hmm, let's check that again, the other way around. Are any of them unhappy to be on camera?
I get the distict impression there may be a gender difference in wanting to be photographed...
