Whistler! Blackcomb!
We took a day off from skiing, mostly due to the heavy grey weather, and explored a bit more. It was not busy on the ski hill this day.
While taking a short-cut through a parking lot, I saw this long, large, elevated building hidden in the trees...
An Art Museum? In Whistler? Wow, Whistler's clientel must be moving up-scale!
It certainly looked like a lot of money had been spent on its construction...
The reception area... The building extends on the left for a long, long way. $18 admission, so maybe save it for a rainy day....
I parked outside. Oops! That's 1 night's snowfall... I moved it back to the parkade, but only after some other people took pictures, too! It took a while to clear all that snow!
With so much new snow, there weren't as many skiers out yet. Noticably missing: Skiers from Japan. Noticably new: many Spanish speaking skiers. More than usual: British skiers.
...It's minus 12 celcius. Where is Yuko going??? It's ok, she's not going to the ice cream store...
She's going to the Dairy Queen! Did you know that if you walk around in minus 12 celcius weather, the DQ ice cream starts to get harder? And, wow, do people ever look at you funny!
