A Sunny Day!

The leaves along the road back home. I liked the back-lit colours.

The upper edges of the branches had a sparkly effect, and I wanted to see how that would turn out. It seems to have worked.

A back-lit rhodo. Hmm... Maybe they look better front-lit.

The Lewisia on the balcony is blooming like crazy. Always this one plant...

This is me comparing the two new lenses on the new camera.

Hmm... can you spot the difference?

Ok, this one's different, it's the heather in the next pot...

Now comparing camera bodies, using the same lens. This is the older body: compare the green of the stalks and the colour of the painted wall to the next picture

This is the same lens, but the new body. Note the wall colour is more (correctly) blue, the stalks have sharper green shades, and a yellow overcast is gone. I like!

Just the way mom used to make it! Yuko brought a state-of-the-art induction heated (IH), fuzzy logic, rice cooker from Japan shortly after she moved here.
When it died she started using a normally heated rice cooker, and was not happy with the results.
Well, state-of-the-art now is a pressure cooking, induction heated, fuzzy logic, artificial intelligence, rice cooker with platinum infused bowl coating. Yes, it does a very good job.
