Vancouver.
Still a bit windy, so it's off on a bike tour! Well, I made it about 3 km...
I do carry a spare. Actually, 3 spares. Sadly, I needed 3 once, when I ruined the first 2 doing a repair...
Thirty six km later, and it's lunch time in New West! There is a nice lunch spot there, but they close at 2:30, so pedal fast!
On the way back, through the wilds of Burnaby. Actually, the Highway 1 freeway is just a hundred meters away to the right. It is a bit noisy here...
A convenient pedestrian and cyclist overpass, with a view of the Skytrain overpass overpass...
On the cooler days, the only ones in the water tend to be the distance swimmers, doing laps. The sun was just coming out, and the clouds were moving to the east.
The usual beach tanning crowd had not arrived yet.
This group, however, had arrived! I saw them a few hours earlier, when I was going out for a kayak run, and the whole big group was walking this way along the seawall. A school outing?
The Granville Island water park, now with roving bands of marauding geese!
I had to help the occupants of this blanket to chase the geese away. They were a bit afraid of the geese...
The water park is open for the summer now.
...and the sunsets are getting colourful again!
