Snow!
There was still a lot of snow along the walking paths.
"Look at what I found!"
The kitchen staff. Excellent chefs all. I know enough to stay out of the way!
Surprise! They thought I would be approaching from the other door in the distance...
Lunch, the next day. A very nice menu, and it's at the base of the Chateau Whistler.
Relaxing on the balcony. I had just finished my cookie, and she was still working on hers.
Later that evening... The Blizzard of '18! Vancouver traffic paralyzed for hours. ...and then it all melted when the sun came out the next morning.
We went back to Vancouver that evening to avoid driving in this fresh snow in the morning. We needed to pick up Tante Lia and bring her to the airport.
And then it was back to Whistler!
The sky was a bit overcast, but I wanted to use the big camera to get some new skiing pictures.
The top of one ski run. Yes, it starts this steep... The ski run goes down to the right.
...sure is crowded out here. Those little tree-tops in the foreground are on an even steeper section. ...it's where the softer snow is!
Still further along the ski run, and about 1/3 the way down, it begins to level off a bit.
Lunch Time! We tend to go in for lunch after the rush is done, closer to 1 pm, when it's easier to find a seat by the windows.
