Luau time

Those are, apparently, made from real coconut shells... So, they're real, and they're spectacular...

I'm certain that the male dancers were happy that they only had to wear loincloths, rather than coconut jock straps...

I lnow, not a sharp picture. The dancers were telling the story of the Hawaii Islands, and this is the big goddess, very important, and very powerful...

And this is the volcano god, whom she meets, falls in love with, and then leaves. His sorrow at her departure is so great, he dies.

Then she requests of her sister to find him and bring him back, but only on the condition that the sister does not fall in love with him...
The sister and the volcano god do fall in love, and the goddess becomes so angry that she destroys them both. Do not mess with Hawaiian women...

However, the sisters eventually forgive each other, and are together once more. No word on that poor volcano guy, though. Sheesh, tough women!

So it's celebration time!

It looks like the guys get to celebrate, too!

For the ladies...

And any interested gentlemen...
