This woman served as the narrator, and frequently changed costume to reflect the historical setting of each dance.

This is the "sugar cane and pineapple farming" dance, celebrating the farming history of the islands...

Eventually, the fun started again, with the "lazy husband sticks"...

...she does look proficient, and happy in her work!

A dance to celebrate more recent cultural events, in a black evening gown, no less!

The show was nearly done, and the dancers were getting ready for the finale.

The narrator then introduced us to Polynesian competitive dancing, and some of the competitors from Hawaii.

They moved so fast, it was hopeless to get any pictures. This was the only one that isn't a complete blur. There were no pauses in these dances.

One last group dance!

Meet the dancers!

Cheer them on for their great performances! The older guy in the back was also story-telling, while playing a large gourd-drum. ...Yuko decided it was worth going to, afterall!
