A big surprise! ...not quite...
And immediately after that bridge, the trail gets a little narrow...
And now it's blocked by this old tree-fall! The trail is looking a little underwhelming at this point...
And here it ends. We're not that far from the 3rd bridge, but there is no obvious trail anymore.
So back we go, along the shore to avoid crossing the fallen logs (there was a second one...)
The sun reached down here between the trees, which made the rough trail at least worth exploring!
But the shore ends in, well, more fallen logs, and a deep section of the creek. Now the only option was pushing our way through the ferns, looking for the trail...
And since there was no interest in backtracking the entire trail, the only option was to look for an established exit trail.
And so we found a narrow trail that climbed the steep cliffs and followed some power lines.
And came out here! The far end of 10th Avenue! So we had a nice round-trip, and now it was time for the big event...
