A big surprise! ...not quite...
Family picture time! Mom and Dad, and the two kids!
Ok, Mom and Dad and the two kids and the two grandkids! "We need nice expressions, everybody! Nice expressions for this shot. Thank you!"
"Ok, silly expressions now! Thank you!"
Taking pictures in this low light meant that if you move at all, you get blurred out! (See, some can't stay still for even a 1/4 second!)
Mom says: "...there was a picture of John..."
Ok, Now I'll try to take posed pictures: First, Autumn. "No! Not yet, I have to re-tie my hair! Do Lucas first!"
Ok, I'll do Lucas first. ...this was his pose choice! ...can you image this young fellow 10 years from now...
...imagining her brother in another 10 years...
Then it was cleanup time, and the next day was Thanksgiving dinner, and then it was back home...
Sharlyn has a project for me: rescue these partly burnt album pictures...
The old album pages. Some pictures could not be removed, so I cut the album page, and left it as a thicker photo backing...
This is the worst of the bunch. The heat melted the plastic coating, and the ash is now trapped in the plastic...
This was another problem: some of the pictures had been torn during an earlier attempt to remove them from the album.
Photoshop to the rescue! Yes, that was a lot of work... Of the 104 pictures, a good 60% should come out perfectly.
