The narrow trail through the bamboo grove also happens to be a driveway. Two cars slowly made their way through the crowd.



The trail exit was at a different point, outside the temple grounds. Along the way we came across the evidence of bamboo logging!



As we walked along the main street, looking for a good lunch spot, we could enjoy the peace...



Ok, this is the same road, a few minutes later...



Lunch! More okonomiyaki! (pancakes with meat and vegies inside.) Note the adverts above Marion: Beer, it makes women beautiful!



Yuko pointed out this location. I think she wants to stay here next time...



We walked across the famous bridge, and checked out the other side.



Other than a view up the river, this side had less to offer...



You could sign up for a river tour, though! Can you see the submerged boat roof panel?



This cherry tree was all by itself in a concrete play area. The area looked built to survive flooding. Lots of concrete.



This was the nicest section, but it was also right at the bridge. So we went back across!
