Return to Kyoto


We were delivered, luggage and all, back to the Ise train station. I like the manhole covers in this area!



We had time to check out that white stuff Marion saw a few days earlier... Apparently it is edible, but they wouldn't let me have any...



Not our train. Apparently, this train has dungeon cars!



The rural scenery on the way back. We must be going to Kyoto, the seats aren't empty!



The fields are right among the houses. I was surprised that the tractor wasn't getting stuck in the mud!



Our next hotel. Smile! This one is located between the first hotel we were in, and downtown Kyoto. A bit busier neighbourhood...



Nice cozy sized rooms. Just enough room to spread the luggage about, but not to leave the luggage opened! The ryokans had more room!



Exciting, no? The whole bathroom is modular, and very much like an RV bathroom. All plastic. After all that wood in the ryokans...



The hotel's clientel were mostly transient business types, who needed a few quick options! We made use of the laundry, too!



Yuko had some shopping to get done, so we left Marion and John to explore on their own. Another dining experience!



The bowls on the counter held some of the food items that were on the menu, and they cooked them as you ordered. They even had a potato salad...
