Kyoto
"Let's take a cab" I said. "3 bus fares would pay for the cab" I said. "It would be quicker" I said... "No. We want to use up our bus cards" Ahem...
After that very pleasant bus ride (it was easy to stand because it was so crowded that you couldn't fall over anyway), we reached the golden temple.
The entry way was spacious, and the trees were, as usual, perfect.
The weather was perfect for a camera, now let's hope it's not too crowded...
Oh. Well, maybe the crowd will thin out inside?
Well, it didn't, but the golden temple pictures are on their own in the next section. Here is Marion trying out a moldy green version of that white stuff...

The local train station. We would catch a quick ride to the main Kyoto station from here.
The main Kyoto station. We then heard from John (who was walking) that he had taken a detour-shortcut, was almost back at the hotel, and would catch us up in an hour or so.
So we took the bus a short (uncrowded) distance to the main shopping area near Gion. That's the Kamogawa (= duck river) we're crossing, and we're almost at our stop.
After an extended search for some ceramics that Yuko wanted, we stopped for a beer. ...I mean for lunch!
We heard from John that he was almost at the hotel, and would catch us up later...
