Buddha's Mother


This window display had a variety of horoscope animals.



This trail led to one more location we wanted to find. So we interupted the kimono pictures...



Yuko was trying to go to the area immediately behind and to the left of this selfie taker.



We waited for her to get her picture, then chatted briefly. She's visiting from Vietnam, and describes herself as an artist.



Nearing the end of the walkway, at last, here is the giant statue of Buddha's mother. We didn't pay to go inside, because we could see it from here!



One more walkway back down to street level. We had reached the end of the collection of shrines and temples, and were approaching Kiyomizudera once more.



This young maiko/geisha needs to learn a more demure smile! It looks like a couple getting their pictures taken...



As we approached Kiyomizudera, the rental kimono sightings began to increase...
