Back to Reykjavik

This is the opera house. It is along the waterfront, and very visual!

I have a theory on its origins: the window-washers guild bribed the architect!

All these facets make it look like a photomicrograph of the eye of a fly.

We wandered back through the streets. I included an inset enlargement in the lower left of the restaurant's menu...

We made it back to the center of the old town. Our hotel was only 2 blocks down the hill, and about 4 blocks from the first place we stayed.
Having seen more of Iceland now, I'm guessing the column styling idea was taken from those basalt columns that saw earlier! Note the time: 9 pm, very sunny!

The local viking hero, posing with his tools...

What it takes to be a viking!

Hey, that reminds me of someone!

And here's another viking!

And it's in front of the other viking!
