Whale Watching

Well, the dolphins seemed as curious about us as we were about them.

And the sea birds always followed along, as the dolphins would chase prey fish ahead of them.

Well, we couldn't keep this all to ourselves, could we? Although the dolphins seemed to spend more time closer to our boat.

It was not easy to photograph their faces, as they would appear quickly, and be gone before I could get them into the camera view.

They are white on the underside, and they seemed to like swimming upside-down as they went under the boat.

Nobody took the invitation to swim with them though. We all stayed in the boat!

This picture includes the bubble trail being left behind as the dolphin is exhaling right before surfacing.

Birds on patrol!

One of them looks a bit smaller than the other.

Eventually, the dolpins figured out that I could get better pictures of them if they stayed on this side!

Ok, now let's have some mountains in the background, and maybe get a tern in the picture, too! Great! That's just great!

Ok, that was almost perfect. Now could the tern please move up a bit, we need you to fill the gap between the dolphins and the mountains. Yes, that's it!
