Aso Crater
This option came highly recommended!
However, due to weather uncertainties, booking ahead is unrealistic...
However, they did have a spare seat available in 2 flights only a few minutes apart, so first up is Yuko!
After the safety briefing, it's up and away!
The pilot is careful to make sure you get a good view inside the crater by making a very steep banked turn above it!
Survived!

My turn... The 4-seater takes 3 passengers, and the spare seat this time was in the front! ...how convenient for the camera!
..the aforementioned steep turn... Looking across the helicopter and down into the crater!
Certainly worth the price of the flight!
And the only way to really get a good look at the crater.
And I survived, too! (...I was required to leave the car keys and my wallet with Yuko, you know, just in case...)
