These carved planks extended a log way to the left, however these were the only ones where you could see the detail, as they were not over bright in the sun.
There were more than just rabbits here!
And a horse, too!
The grounds were very large, which made it seem sparsely occupied.
Apparently this location at one time had the tallest shrine in Japan. The red circles mark the original post holes where tall stilts held up a small shrine!
We could walk to the other side of the main building.
The back of the main building. On the ground where several bunny statues that were looking adoringly at the building.
Labelled as "Sacred sand", but neither of us could figure out what it was for...
The oldest tree on the grounds. If you touched it, you could live longer!
