Burrard Bridge.
(May 12)A very large hole being dug on Burrard Street. No idea why, yet.
(May 12)I'm standing on Burrard St, and looking towards Stanley Park. The reorganization here seems to be getting closer to completion.
(May 12)Very extensive scaffolding under the north end of the bridge.
(May 12)Lots of busy work here too, at the southern end of the bridge.
(May 3) The north-west corner looks like it will be the first section completed.
(May 3)The scaffolding under the north-west end of the bridge is expanding.
(Apr 28) Here's the east cut-off lane in use (on the right). This will be turned into grass cover, and turning vehicles will have to use the actual intersection only.
This grey car is using the west side cut-off lane. This will be gone soon. And that dangerous mid-curve cross-walk will finally be eliminated.
The construction has begun. ...or rather the preparations for the removal of the old concrete barrier have begun.
These guys are building a very strong worker's access walkway and errant concrete block catchment.
The hand-rail and backing boards haven't been put in yet.
The underside is being prepared for the extensions that will be added to support the new pedestrian sidewalks.
