And now, just another kilometer further up the road, they got on the old Grouse Mountain gondola!
The view from an observation deck. The view is either smoggy, or cloudy, but Stanley Park is barely visible above the gondola attachment point.
And looking the other way on the observation deck. Those 2 mountain peaks in the distance are the Lions.
Moonrise over Vancouver. I'm assuming they are driving through North Vancouver on their way to New Westminster, to the van Kessels...
The bump of land on the right is the future home of Simon Fraser University.
Another driving picture, same region, that bump of land is future SFU, and beyond it is Stanley Park.
...that's better. A visit to the park along the border!
And they were able to get a lot closer to the border crossing back in those days!
