Twister.

Now it looks like long blonde hair in a shampoo commercial!

Looks like it's been worked long enough, and cooled sufficient for the next step...

The next step: Adding the stripes! (you know, I used to wear gloves exactly like those for playing ring hockey...)

The red chunk has been turned into four short sections, and paired up with another four un-coloured sections. (of course we didn't use powdered sugar on ours)

The red and white stripes are stuck together, and the main chunk is turned into a short barrel shape. (mostly because we weren't allowed to)

Then the green chunk is massaged into a single shape. (that was only for the girl's teams)

The red and white slab is now pressed onto the main mass. (...they could use spice, too)

And the whole thing rolled around to make sure the sections are really well stuck together. (even though they weren't always nice, either)

Then the green stripe is added back as well. (ok, stop it)

And the whole thing is squeezed and rolled together one more time.

So rather than make one huge candy cane, it's time to start stretching out one end of the block...

...then cut it off with scissors...

...and stick it to the other end. Laughingly referred to as the "butt plug"...

Now it's under a heat lamp, and time to start pulling the candy canes out of the main mass...

And the resulting tail is twisted. Kinda looks like Jabba the Hutt's Christmas nightmare...
