The house, and the rocks.
We carried on further south, with the low tide helping our access points.
Another dimensional portal! And another hazy unseen world!
These smoother rocks had a very flowing erosion pattern.
...If you're going to hunt for seastars, you gotta pose like one!
See! It works every time!
...speaking of predators... This raven was systematically ripping out the smaller gooseneck barnacles and eating them. (they're the ones under his beak, with the white tops)
...speaking of predators... A hermit crab made that wide dimpled ribbon track.
A shore bird arrived from the left, grabbed the hermit crab, and pulled it out of that shell. All that's left is the empty turban snail shell (upper right). The bird then left, the track heads down.
The tidal pools were quite well flushed on these rocks.
And the waves were exploding out of this crack in the rocks! Surprise!
On the other side of the rocks, we found lots of people. They are on Cox Bay, another popular beach.
